The Huawei Luna2000 5kWh lithium battery module from the Chinese manufacturer Huawei is a type of high-voltage lithium battery for Huawei inverter self-consumption systems. This module requires the BMS controller which acts as an interface with the inverter to which this accumulator is connected and acts as a battery management system. This module has 5kWh of useful energy. This LUNA2000-5-S0 model can be expanded with 2 or 3 storage modules in total to become the LUNA2000-10-S0 and LUNA2000-15-S0 models to offer 10 or 15 kWh respectively. This set is expandable up to 30kWh by paralleling another LUNA2000-15-S0 set with its respective controller or BMS. In short, we can choose to have a Huawei self-consumption system with storage in the following capacities: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30kWh.

The Huawei Luna2000 range operates at a nominal voltage of 360V when connected to a single-phase system, with an operating range between 350 and 560V. Connected to a three-phase inverter, they operate at a nominal voltage of 600V with an operating range between 600 and 980V.

The battery has cells with Lithium Ferrophosphate (LiFePO4) technology, offers IP65 protection and dissipation by natural convection, with a sound level below 29 decibels. It allows wall or floor installation, with weights of 50kg for battery module and 12kg for BMS controller module.

Huawei Luna2000 lithium battery compatibility
The Luna2000 5kWh Lithium Battery is compatible with the KTL L1 single-phase inverter range between 2 and 6kW and the KTL-M1 three-phase inverter range between 3 and 10kW.

Communication with the inverter is via the BMS via RS485 and also incorporates a CAN connection for parallel operation. The BMS has a small display to indicate the charging status and an LED to show the working status.

The Huawei Luna2000 5kWh lithium battery complies with all the certifications required for its use, such as CE, RCM, CEC, VDE2510-50, IEC62619, IEC 60730, UN38.3.
