✅Recharge from alternator?

If you read our guide, you know that DC-DC battery chargers are an accessory of fundamental importance for preserving the health of the alternator and for making lithium batteries last a long time. 

The DC-DC chargers for lithium batteries are available in versions from 18A up to 60A and can still be installed in parallel to increase the charging current.

In this kit we have not included the DC-DC charger to recharge the lithium service batteries via the alternator, because this choice is personal. We have to choose the right option, based on the power and health of the alternator.

The maximum DC-DC charge current should be at most approximately half the alternator power expressed in Ampère (A). Examples:

• With a 70-80A alternator, we recommend using a 30-40A DC-DC charger no more.
• With a 55A alternator we recommend an 18A dc-dc. 
• With a 120-150A alternator we recommend a 60A dc-dc (or two 30A in parallel).
