Victron dc-dc isolated VS non-isolated

Victron NON-isolated is fine in most cases, i.e. when the ground point is in common. When there are more grounding points, dc-dc isolated is recommended.

Charging the service batteries with the engine alternator has always been an operation not without obstacles.

In fact, the standard alternator is equipped with a cheap and unsophisticated voltage regulator, which simply regulates the alternator voltage to about 14.4 volts and does nothing else.

Bluetooth Smart enabled

Any smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth-enabled device can be used to monitor, change settings or update the charger as new features become available.

Fully programmable

The absorption and float voltages are programmable, as is the absorption time.

100% compatible with "Smart" alternators (Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles) and perfect for recharging LiFePO4 lithium batteries

3-phase adaptive charge algorithm: Bulk, absorption and maintenance.

In lead-acid batteries it is important that during low discharges the absorption time is short, to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, however, the absorption time is automatically extended in order to fully charge the battery.

In lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed: 2 hours by default. Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be chosen.

Remote on and off

A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected to a two-pole connector. Alternatively, the H (right) clamp of the two-pin connector can be turned to the positive pole of the battery, or the L (left) clamp of the two-pin connector can be turned to the negative pole of the battery (or on the chassis of a vehicle, for example) . All models are short-circuit proof and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current

An unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel.

Protected against high temperatures

The output current will decrease with high ambient temperature.
