The Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor can monitor 2 battery banks: services (full monitoring) and engine starting (voltage only). Equipped with Bluetooth, it allows you to view information on a mobile phone or tablet. It also keeps the 30 day history.

The primary function of a battery monitor is to calculate the consumed amp hours (Ah) and the state of charge of the battery. The amp-hour consumption is calculated by integrating the current flowing into and out of the battery. In case of constant current, this integration is equivalent to the current multiplied by the time.
A discharge of 10A during 2 hours, for example, amounts to 20Ah consumed. All our battery monitor controllers are based on a powerful microprocessor programmed with the algorithms necessary for precise monitoring.

• Battery voltage (V).
• Battery charge/discharge current (A).
• Emperora consumati (Ah).
• State of charge (%).
• Residual autonomy at the current discharge rate.
• Audio and visual alarm: over and under voltage, and/or low battery.
• Programmable alarm or generator start relay.

BMV 712: low cost and ultra high resolution monitor

• The highest resolution: 10mA (0.01A) with 500A shunt.
• Can be used with 50, 60 or 100 mV shunts. Rated current from 100A to 1000A.
• The lowest current consumption: 4mA at 12V and 3mA at 24V.
• Very easy to connect: the BMV 712 is equipped with a shunt, 10 m RJ 12 UTP cable and a 2 m fuse-protected battery cable; nothing else is needed.
• Easier to install: Separate square and round front bezels to fit any layout. Rear mount ring and front mount screws.
• Very wide voltage range: 9.5 – 95 VDC without the need for a decade frequency divider.-
• Communications port (an isolated RS232 interface is required to connect to a computer).

• Checking the voltage of a second battery bank (usually engine batteries)
• It can also be monitored from an Android or iOS (Apple) Smartphone or Tablet by downloading the Victron app
