    Who do we recommend a lithium starter battery for?

    • those who want more lightness, such as race cars or racing boats
    • those who, for one reason or another (cold, a car left idle, etc.), are forced to replace their starter battery every 1-2 years
    • those who want the most reliable technology on the market — who can't afford to be stranded, such as professionals or boat owners. 
    • those who own display/collector cars that sit unused for long periods and must be kept on a charger to avoid damaging a lead-acid battery. A lithium battery, with no self-discharge, can last over 5 years. In the worst case it therefore only needs recharging every 3-4 years

      THE ADVANTAGES OF LiFePO4 BATTERIES

      Lithium batteries are NOT all the same. Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries (LFP or LiFePO4) are used today even in our own homes because they combine safety and durability.

      • Last longer

        They still have 80% of rated capacity after more than 2000 cycles. Lead-acid batteries only manage 300/500 cycles.

      • 100% D.O.D.

        100% depth of discharge (lead-acid batteries only 30/40%). A 50Ah lithium battery can replace a 100Ah lead-acid battery.

        Common myth: do not worry about discharging it completely, it will not be damaged right away. You always have a couple of months to recharge it.

      • Safety

        Built-in BMS. Protection against short-circuit, voltage, charge and discharge current, temperature, automatic balancing. LiFePO4 batteries do not explode and do not catch fire.

      • Price

        A 12V 100Ah lead-acid battery weighs over 30 kg. Our 12V 100Ah lithium iron phosphate battery weighs only 11 kg!

        They keep a constant voltage above 13V. This allows high current draws to be sustained for a long time.

        With no load connected, self-discharge is under 3% per month. Unlike lead-acid batteries, they do NOT need to be kept fully charged at all times. During periods of inactivity, manually disconnect the cables from the battery terminals, or use a BATTERY DISCONNECT SWITCH.

        No internal gas, gel, or liquid. Releases no metallic or toxic substance into the environment.

      • Zero maintenance

        They require no maintenance. They do NOT need periodic equalization and desulfation cycles like lead-acid batteries.
