Collection: Victron Energy – Battery Isolators

Victron Energy battery isolators and relays: Cyrix-Li-ct as a combiner between starter battery and lithium leisure bank in 12V and 24V, Cyrix-Li-Charge to enable charging, Cyrix-Li-load to drop loads before the BMS steps in, BCD 402 and BCD 802 diode combiners at 40A and 80A, and the Battery Balancer for batteries in series.

On a lithium system the critical point is the sequence: the BMS opens the circuit as a last defence, and if it does so while the alternator is charging, the regulator can be damaged. Cyrix relays open earlier, on a voltage threshold, and protect the electronics upstream.

The Battery Balancer instead evens out two 12V batteries wired in series to make 24V.
