Lithium cranking batteries from the Starter series, in catalogue view: LS12018S at 18Ah with 600A CCA, LS12036S at 36Ah with 1000A, LS12055S at 55Ah with 1500A and LS12078S at 78Ah with 1800A, all at 12V with an active BMS and rated operation down to -20 degrees.
The comparison with lead is made on CCA, not on Ah: a 55Ah Starter replaces a 125Ah lead-acid battery because they deliver the same cranking current, at a third of the weight. The lower nominal Ah figure is enough because a LiFePO4 pack returns almost all of it.
The active BMS accepts the 15.6V of older alternator regulators without opening the circuit.
