Plug and play batteries for adding storage to an existing or balcony solar system without rebuilding it: Marstek Venus A all-in-one of 2.12kWh with four MPPTs, Venus X of 10kWh and 6kW AC-coupled, Venus E Mini of 2kWh for the wall and Venus E 3.0 of 5.12kWh, plus Growatt AURA batteries and Hoymiles HiBattery modules.

The difference is where they connect: AC-coupled models go in after the existing inverter and leave the strings alone, the ones with an MPPT built in take the panels directly. Either way, optimising needs an energy meter reading the exchange with the grid.

Installation with no building work, LiFePO4 cells and modular expansion.
