These are the cables that decide whether an installation is a set of devices or a system: without the right CAN cable the inverter gets no state of charge or current limits from the battery BMS, so it works on fixed voltage thresholds and protection stays on the battery side only.

VE.Can is a bus and has to be terminated at both ends.
