The Redarc RK1260 relay kit, 12V and 60A, for switching between alternator input and solar input on a single DC-DC charger.
It earns its place where the BCDC has one shared input and you want priority handled automatically: engine running, the alternator feeds it; engine off, the relay swings over to the solar array, with nothing to switch by hand and no chance of the two sources ending up in parallel.
The kit includes the relay and the control wiring. Size the power cables on the charger current, not on the relay rating, which is the maximum allowed and not the recommended working figure.
