Eastron energy meters in the catalogue: the SDM630MCT three-phase in the 5A version with external CTs and in the Solis V2 version with three 300A current transformers included, and the SDM72D-M V2 three-phase at 100A direct measurement with MID certification, all with a Modbus RS485 interface.

The practical difference between the two schemes: with direct measurement the line cable passes through the meter, simple but limited by the terminal rating; with current transformers the cable stays where it is and the meter reads through the CTs, the only option above 100A.

MID certification is needed when the measurement has fiscal or contractual value, for example in energy communities.
