MPPT solar charge controllers: Victron Energy SmartSolar with Bluetooth from the 75/15 to the 150/45, by way of the 100/20, 100/30 and 100/50, plus the Litio Store SOLAR BOOST 4820 buck-boost with Bluetooth for 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V.

The code states two limits: the first number is the maximum open-circuit voltage of the array, the second the output current to the battery. Sizing starts from the installed Wp divided by the battery voltage, with a 20% margin, and from checking that the Voc of the panels in series in cold weather stays under the limit.

An MPPT recovers 15 to 30% more energy than a PWM unit, a difference you notice most under overcast skies and with panels in partial shade.
