Collection: DC-DC Charger 12V/12V

DC-DC chargers with 12V input and 12V output, to charge a 12V leisure battery from the alternator of a 12V vehicle: Victron Energy Orion-Tr Smart at 18A and 30A in isolated and non-isolated versions with built-in Bluetooth, plus Redarc models.

12V-12V is needed because an alternator is not a charger: it delivers a fixed voltage around 14V, which only partly charges a LiFePO4 pack and never balances it. The DC-DC imposes the correct curve and limits the current drawn from the alternator, protecting it.

The isolated version separates the negatives, for metal hulls or where the two systems have distinct grounds; the non-isolated one where the negative is common.
