NAIONICS EverStart sodium batteries for starting marine combustion engines: 12V 20Ah with 460A CCA for petrol inboards up to 6 litres and diesels up to 4 litres, 30Ah with 600A CCA for outboards from 60 to 200hp, 50Ah with 800A CCA from 200 to 350hp, 60Ah with 900A CCA above 350hp, up to the 24V 75Ah with 1000A CCA and Bluetooth for 4 to 8 litre diesels.

The choice is made on inboard displacement or outboard horsepower, not on capacity: it is the CCA figure that gets a cold diesel turning. Every model lists exact dimensions so you can check the locker.

Sodium chemistry is untroubled by salt air or by long winter lay-ups, where a lead battery sulphates and loses its cranking power.
