Collection: DC protective devices

The DC-side protective devices: WattKit LA6.25-1000 three-pole surge protective devices for 1000V in type 2, Phoenix Contact VAL-SPP devices in type 1+2 up to 1000V DC with remote signalling, and Hager ESC227 and ESC425 modular contactors of 25A with 230V coil for switching circuits.

In DC an arc does not put itself out, so these devices are built differently: a DC surge protective device has its own arc chambers and is not interchangeable with an AC one of the same rated voltage. Type 1+2 is what you need when the building has lightning protection.

Keep the distance between the SPD and the equipment it protects under 10 metres.
