Inverter/chargers with a UPS function, putting inversion, charging and automatic changeover in one unit: the PRIME INVERTER PI-PSC range from 1000W to 6000W for 12V and 24V systems, with a built-in charger from 25A to 90A.

The UPS function is what makes them useful indoors as well: with the grid present it passes straight through and the battery charges; when the grid drops, transfer takes a few milliseconds and the loads never notice. Handy for fridges, boilers and workstations.

When sizing, check the charge current against the capacity of the battery and against what the BMS can take.
