Collection: AC protective devices

AC-side protective devices for solar and storage systems: Noark Ex9L-N pure residual current devices in two-pole and four-pole versions rated 40A with 30mA and 100mA type A sensitivity, and yellow-green earth cable in 6mm² and 16mm² on 100-metre coils.

Type A is the minimum on an installation with an inverter: type AC devices do not see the pulsating fault currents that conversion electronics produce and may not trip at all. Some inverters call explicitly for type B, or for type A with DC component monitoring.

The earth conductor cross-section follows that of the phase conductors.
