Solar kits for the home without storage, built for daytime self-consumption: SMA 4.72kWp with a 3.68kW single-phase inverter, FoxESS 7.67kWp on a 6kW three-phase inverter, SolarEdge 9.44kWp with module optimisers and an 8kW inverter, GoodWe 11.8kWp with a 10kW string inverter.

With no battery the system only covers what you use while it is producing: the return depends on how much of the day's energy you consume, usually 30 to 40% unless appliances are moved around. SolarEdge optimisers earn their keep on shaded or differently oriented roof planes.

They stay ready for more: many of these inverters will take a battery later on.
