The SmartSolar series shares the features of BlueSolar, with the addition of built-in Bluetooth. Install VictronConnect from Google Play or the Apple App Store to view solar charging data on your smartphone or tablet and configure the controller. The app also shows a 30-day history of energy production and the minimum and maximum battery voltages recorded each day.

With the correct settings, the controller can also charge LiFePO4 lithium batteries (lithium iron phosphate).

Adjustable settings include:

• Absorption voltage in 0.1V steps
• Absorption duration, from a few tens of minutes to several hours
• Float voltage
• Battery temperature compensation (mV per degree Celsius)

Preset charging profiles make setup straightforward. In most cases, simply select the battery type: flooded lead-acid, AGM, gel or lithium.
