What it does
- Every machine is connected to the mains through an in-line socket that measures voltage, current, power and kWh and transmits them to the gateway; the sending interval can be set from 1 minute upwards.
- The power draw reveals the state of the machine: a few watts at rest, full load during the cycle, back to rest when the cycle is over. With the thresholds set on the platform you can see remotely which machines are free and which are busy, and count the cycles of each one.
- A machine that has drawn nothing for days, or that draws power abnormally, stands out immediately: it is the sign of a fault, of a jammed coin box or of a machine that customers avoid.
- Every socket can be switched on and off from the app: to take a faulty machine out of service or to cut power to all of them at closing time. An adjustable overcurrent protection disconnects the load above the threshold.
- The three floor detectors warn at the first presence of water and sound on the spot; the temperature and humidity sensor monitors the climate of the room and how well the ventilation works while the dryers are running.
- The people counter at the entrance records entries and exits by time slot: it is an indicative footfall figure, with accuracy up to 80%.
- The SOS button sends an immediate notification to the operator or to whoever is on call, not to the police; the contact on the door reports openings outside business hours.

How it is installed
Gateway. Compact indoor gateway, on a table, wall or ceiling: in the back room or high up in the premises, near the router, away from steam and splashes. IP30, operation from -20 to +50 °C. USB-C power supply at 5 V, or PoE with an optional splitter; network connection with an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. In a single-room laundry the distance from the sockets is a few metres.
Machine sockets. The in-line socket is plugged into the wall socket and the plug of the machine into the in-line socket: no electrical wiring to be done. Schuko connection, maximum current 16 A, for indoor use with IP20 protection: the wall socket must be in a dry position, raised off the ground and away from heat sources. The body measures 11 × 6 cm and protrudes about 3.5 cm from the wall, plus the plug: check the space behind the machine. The button on the front switches it on and off by hand. Apply the label with the machine number to every socket.
Leak detectors and climate. The detectors are laid flat on the floor, at the point where the water arrives first or collects: in front of or beside the washers, towards the drain, in a clear area and not in contact with the metal of the machines. Alternatively they are fixed with double-sided tape at the base of a wall. Temperature and humidity sensor on the wall with screws or double-sided tape, away from the air outlet of the dryers and from the door. It is IP67.
People counter, SOS and door. People counter on the ceiling above the entrance, at a height between 2 and 3 m, facing downwards and parallel to the ceiling: at 3 m it covers an opening up to 3.1 m. At least 45 cm from the wall, not right against the door leaf, away from vents and heat sources, not facing a glazed surface. Alternatively on the wall at the side of the passage, 1.2-1.3 m above the floor, for openings up to 2.3 m. SOS button on the wall with screws or double-sided tape, in a visible, dry and reachable spot. Magnetic contact on the door, inner side, with the two parts aligned no more than 20 mm apart.
Configuration. Via NFC with a smartphone and the free app of the manufacturer: sending interval of the sockets, overcurrent threshold, names of the machines, temperature and humidity thresholds. The gateway is configured from a browser. No cables and no paid software are needed.
Documentation included. Written installation guide with positions, heights, numbering of the machines and switch-on sequence, and initial configuration of the power thresholds that distinguish a machine that is idle, running and at the end of its cycle, based on the washer and dryer models indicated when ordering.

Before you order
Is an internet connection needed in the laundry?
It is needed at the point where the gateway is installed: a network socket or the Wi-Fi of the premises, for example the one that already serves the till or the cameras. Sockets and sensors do not use Wi-Fi, they talk to the gateway by radio. If there is no line on the premises, the version with a 4G gateway is available, which requires a data SIM (not included, any operator, less than 1 GB of traffic per month). It is chosen when ordering.
What is the radio coverage?
In a single-room laundry the gateway covers all the machines without difficulty. Inside a building the range depends on walls and floors: the gateway should go in a central position. If the laundry is in the basement of an apartment block or in the service block of a campsite and the network only reaches another building, the options include the «large building» version, with a gateway of greater range, IP65 and able to be powered via PoE.
Which machines does it work with?
With single-phase washers and dryers connected to a Schuko socket and drawing up to 16 A. Three-phase professional machines, those with an industrial plug and those above 16 A cannot be connected to these sockets: for them, clamp current meters in the electrical panel are used, without remote control. Write to us from the contacts section with the models of the machines. Washers, dryers and the till are not included.
How can you tell whether a machine is free or has finished?
From the power. At rest a machine draws a few watts, during the cycle from hundreds to thousands, at the end of the cycle it goes back to rest. The sockets send the reading at intervals adjustable from 1 minute and on the platform you set the thresholds that separate the three states. The thresholds depend on the model of machine: the initial configuration is included and is fine-tuned from the app after the first few days of operation.
Can I switch off a machine remotely?
Yes, every socket is controlled from the app. Switching off cuts power to the machine: it is to be used when the machine is idle, to put it out of service or at closing time. During a cycle it would leave the load wet and the door locked. The command goes through the gateway and takes a few seconds.
I have more or fewer than 12 machines, or several laundries
The kit is configured on the premises: one socket per machine, gateway and platform stay the same. Among the options of the product you will find the 8 and 16 machine sizes; for several outlets each laundry has its own gateway and the platform stays the same. Write to us from the contacts section stating the number and models of the machines and the number of premises: we will send you the composition and the quote of the adapted kit.
Battery life
The sockets have no battery. The temperature and humidity sensor reaches up to 10 years with one reading every 10 minutes at 25 °C; the leak detectors more than 5 years with a button cell; the people counter about 4 years with 1,000 passages a day; the SOS button more than 7 years; the door contact about 5. The charge level is visible in the app.
Where is the data consulted and are there any fees?
On the app and on the portal of the manufacturer, from smartphone and PC, with charts, thresholds and notifications; no fee for basic use. Where there is a management system or the software of the payment system, the gateway can also send the data to that system (MQTT or HTTP): the configuration is included.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The machines keep working: the sockets stay in the state they are in and are operated by hand from the button. As long as the line is down, neither notifications nor remote commands arrive. The people counter stores up to 1,000 records and retransmits them when the connection comes back; the leak detectors sound on the spot anyway.
Is an electrician necessary? Do they withstand the humidity of the room?
No electrician is needed: the sockets simply plug in and the sensors are battery powered. Leak detectors and the temperature and humidity sensor are IP67. Sockets, people counter, button, contact and gateway are for dry indoor use, from IP20 to IP30: they must be kept away from splashes, direct steam and wet floors. The wall sockets must already be rated for the load of the machines.
