What it does
- The Aqara C1 feeder puts out the kibble at the times and in the portions you set; you can give an extra meal from the app.
- The E1 2K camera pans and tilts from the app: follow the animal around the room and record to microSD.
- The T1 sensor measures temperature and humidity: if the house goes above the threshold you set, you get a notification.
- You can use the heat notification as a reminder to switch the air conditioning on, or to ask someone to call round.
- When the feeder puts out a meal, you can check on the camera that the animal has eaten.

How it is installed
Hub and network. The M100 hub plugs into a USB power supply, included in the kit, in a socket in a central position and connects to the home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. It goes high up, where the animal cannot chew it or knock it down. The camera uses Wi-Fi directly: check the signal at the chosen spot.
Feeder. The C1 feeder stands on the floor on a level surface, in the corner where the animal usually eats, near a socket. It is filled with dry kibble of the size the manufacturer states. Run the cable along the wall, protected if the animal tends to chew leads. For the first few days, keep the usual bowl next to it.
Camera and sensor. The E1 camera goes on a high piece of furniture, with the High Endurance microSD supplied fitted before you switch it on, facing the area where the animal spends most of its time. The T1 sensor goes in the same room, at mid height, out of direct sun from the window and away from radiators, so it reads the air the animal breathes.
App and pairing. Install Aqara Home, add the hub, then pair the feeder and the T1 sensor with it, following each product's wizard. The camera is added separately over Wi-Fi. Set the feeder's times and portions straight away, then watch the first meal on video.
Recommended automations. Meals programmed at set times, with portions suited to the animal's weight. Temperature above the threshold you choose: notification. Meal dispensed: the camera turns towards the feeder. Very low temperature in winter: notification. Check often in the first few weeks that the animal has got used to the feeder.
Contents verified. The C1 feeder and the T1 sensor pair with the M100 hub included; the E1 camera runs on Wi-Fi in the same Aqara Home app, where every device can be used in the same automations. A High Endurance microSD for the camera recordings and a 5V USB power supply for the hub, which does not come with one, are included.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes: the C1 feeder and the T1 sensor connect to the M100 Hub included, which brings them onto the Wi-Fi and into the Aqara Home app. The camera joins the Wi-Fi directly and is run from the same app.
Does it work with Alexa, Google and Apple?
The M100 hub supports Matter, and Aqara devices also reach Alexa and Google Home through the Aqara Home app integration; and Apple Home through Matter or HomeKit where the product supports it, as the manufacturer states. History, notifications and the full automations stay in the Aqara Home app.
What food goes in the feeder?
Dry kibble in the size specified by the feeder's manufacturer. Wet food or very large kibble can jam the dispenser. For the first few days, check on the video that the portions drop properly and that the animal is eating.
What happens if there is no internet?
The feeder keeps putting out the scheduled meals as the manufacturer provides for, and the sensor keeps measuring. Without internet, though, you cannot see the video from outside, you get no heat alerts and you cannot give extra meals from the app.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The hub, the feeder and the camera plug into a socket and the T1 sensor is battery-powered. There is no 230V wiring to do: you only need free sockets near the feeder, the camera and the hub.
Are batteries included?
The T1 sensor runs on a battery, supplied in the box according to the manufacturer. For the feeder, check the Amazon listing to see whether it takes backup cells so meals continue in a power cut, and whether they are included.
Can I add devices?
Yes: a flood sensor next to the water bowl, a contact on the balcony door, a motion sensor or a second camera. The M100 Hub handles plenty of Aqara devices in the same app.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
