What it does
- The four Sonoff SNZB-02P sensors read temperature and humidity in four rooms and send the values to the app.
- If humidity stays above the threshold for hours, a notification arrives: you can air the place or switch the dehumidifier on before condensation forms.
- The two SNZB-05P water sensors, sitting on the bathroom and kitchen floor, warn as soon as they detect a leak.
- The reading history shows which rooms tend to stay damp, after showers or through the winter for example.
- The notifications reach you even when you are away.

How it is installed
Bridge and network. The ZB Bridge Pro joins the home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and goes somewhere central, powered by a USB supply. Timber walls let the signal through well; watch out instead for panels with aluminium foil, metallised vapour barriers and external insulation with metal mesh, which weaken it.
Climate sensors. One SNZB-02P per room: bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and a room at risk such as a store cupboard or a north-facing bedroom. They stick to the wall with the double-sided tape at about a metre and a half, away from radiators, windows and the direct steam from the shower. In cold rooms the outside wall is the better choice, as that is where condensation forms first.
Water sensors and batteries. The two SNZB-05P lie flat on the floor: under the kitchen sink or next to the dishwasher, and in the bathroom beside the washing machine or the shower tray. The optional spare CR2477 batteries cover the kit's six sensors: you keep them to hand instead of hunting for them later.
App and pairing. Install eWeLink, add the bridge and pair the sensors one at a time, holding the button down until the LED flashes. Start with the ones closest to the bridge. Name each sensor after its room, so the notifications tell you straight away where to act, and check that they are all sending readings.
Recommended automations. Humidity above 65% for more than three hours in a room: a notification to air it. Water detected: an immediate notification to the whole family. A very low temperature in a room in winter: a notification. After a few weeks look at the charts and correct the thresholds according to how each room behaves.
Contents verified. The climate sensors and the water sensors are Sonoff Zigbee devices and pair with the ZB Bridge Pro included, in the same eWeLink app where thresholds and notifications are set. All six use CR2477 cells: the optional pack of spare batteries is there to change them without a break in monitoring.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes: the Sonoff Zigbee devices talk to the ZB Bridge Pro included in the kit, which links them to the home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and to the eWeLink app. Without the bridge the sensors do not work.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Yes, through the eWeLink app: you link the eWeLink account to the Alexa skill or to the Google Home app and the devices show up there, ready for routines and for asking the readings by voice. With Apple Home there is no direct integration we can guarantee for every item in the kit.
Do you need an electrician?
No. All the sensors are battery-powered and either stick on with double-sided tape or sit on the floor; the bridge runs off a USB power supply in a socket. Nothing is wired into the installation and no holes are drilled in the timber walls.
Does it detect damp inside the walls?
No: the sensors measure the air in the rooms and water on the floor. High air humidity over long periods is, though, the warning sign that comes before condensation and mould on surfaces. Measurements inside the structure need different instruments: get in touch through the contact page.
What happens if there is no internet?
The sensors keep measuring, but without internet you get no notifications and cannot see the values from away. Some scenes can stay live locally on the bridge, as the manufacturer describes. When the line is back the data starts reaching the app again.
Are batteries included?
The sensors take CR2477 coin cells, supplied in the box according to the manufacturer. The kit also includes an optional pack of four spare CR2477 cells. Each sensor's charge level shows in eWeLink.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more sensors for other rooms, for the crawl space or the loft, a Zigbee socket to run the dehumidifier or a relay for the extractor fan. The bridge handles plenty of Sonoff Zigbee devices in the same app.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
