Collection: DC-DC kits

DC-DC kits for alternator charging on campers, converted trucks and boats: 12V-12V at 30A, 50A and 70A with the Victron Energy Orion XS, and 24V-12V at 30A with the Orion-Tr Smart for vehicles with a 24V alternator and a 12V service system.

A kit is not just the charger: it includes cable sized for the current, fuses on both sides and the engine-running enable connection. That is the part most often underestimated, because a 50A DC-DC unit on 10 mm2 cable runs hot and loses voltage.

Sizing follows the current: as a guide, no more than 40-50% of the alternator's rating.
