What it does
- The three SNZB-05P sensors sitting on the floor pick up water under the washing machine, the sink, the dishwasher or the water heater.
- When a sensor detects water, the SNZB-09P Zigbee siren sounds indoors and a notification lands on your phone.
- The siren warns anyone in the house even if they are not looking at their phone, or if the phone is off.
- The ZB Bridge Pro hub takes the events from the sensors and runs the scenes in the eWeLink app.
- Scenes set up as local on the hub carry on working without internet.
- The optional spare CR2477 cells cover the first change for the three sensors.

How it is installed
Hub and network. Connect the ZB Bridge Pro to a power supply with its USB cable and put it in a central spot, halfway between bathroom, kitchen and utility room, away from large metal masses. Add it to the eWeLink app on the house Wi-Fi: from then on it acts as the Zigbee coordinator for the sensors and the siren.
Water sensors. Lay the three SNZB-05P units on the floor at the riskiest points: behind the washing machine, under the sink, under the water heater or next to the dishwasher. Put them at the lowest point, where water would collect first, with the contacts facing the floor. They run on a CR2477 cell, as the product name says.
Siren and batteries. Put the siren in the hallway or somewhere central where it can be heard all over the house, and power it as the manufacturer states. The four spare CR2477 cells are optional: they cover the first change in the three sensors, as it is an uncommon size that not every shop stocks.
App and pairing. In the eWeLink app put the three sensors and the siren into pairing mode next to the hub, one at a time, then move them to their final positions. Name each sensor after its room. Wet one sensor's contacts lightly with a damp cloth and check the notification and the siren come through, then dry it.
Recommended automations. Set up a local scene: if any of the three sensors detects water, sound the siren and send a notification. Limit how long the siren runs, so you do not disturb the neighbours too much. If you add a compatible motorised valve later, the same scene can close it.
Contents verified. The SNZB-05P water sensors and the SNZB-09P siren are Sonoff Zigbee devices that pair with the ZB Bridge Pro and are managed in the eWeLink app. The four spare CR2477 cells are optional: they cover the first change in the three sensors, as the size is not easy to find.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes: the sensors and the siren are Zigbee and need the Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro hub, included in the kit, which links them to the eWeLink app and to the home Wi-Fi. You can add further Sonoff Zigbee devices to the same hub.
Does the kit shut the water off as well?
No, this kit warns you: a siren in the house and a notification on your phone. Shutting the water off automatically takes a motorised valve. If that interests you, get in touch through the contact page and we will point you to the valve that works with the Sonoff hub, or look at our kits that include one.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Sonoff devices connect to Alexa and Google Home through the eWeLink app and its skill or action. The sensor states can then show up in the assistants as far as the manufacturer allows; the siren scene is best handled in eWeLink.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The sensors sit on the floor and run on batteries, the hub is powered by a USB cable and the siren as the manufacturer describes. There is no mains wiring to do.
What happens if there is no internet?
The ZB Bridge Pro hub supports local scenes: if the sensor-to-siren scene is set as local, the siren sounds even without internet, as the manufacturer states. Without a connection, though, no notification reaches the phone.
Are batteries included?
The SNZB-05P sensors each take a CR2477 cell; whether it is already in the box is stated on the product's Amazon listing. The kit includes four spare CR2477 cells as an option, for the first change. The charge level is checked in the app.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more Sonoff Zigbee water sensors, smoke sensors, contacts and motion sensors can be added to the same hub. For a house on several floors, get in touch and we will see whether a Zigbee repeater is needed.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
