What it does
- The Flood Gen4, with its cable probe laid on the floor, reports water from a leak on the boiler, the water heater or the safety valve.
- The Plus Smoke on the ceiling sounds and sends the notification if there is smoke in the room.
- The H&T Gen3 logs temperature and humidity: you can see whether the room drops towards freezing in winter or stays too damp.
- Thresholds in the app alert you if the temperature drops below the value you set, for instance where pipes are at risk of freezing.
- Every alarm arrives in the same Shelly app, with a history you can look back through.

How it is installed
Wi-Fi network. There is no hub: the sensors join the home router on the 2.4GHz network. Plant rooms are often far away or behind heavy doors: check with your phone that the Wi-Fi reaches the mounting point properly. If the signal is weak, fit an extender before you install. In the Shelly app you create a room for the plant room.
Flood sensor. The Flood Gen4 goes on the floor near the boiler and the water heater, with the cable probe laid at the lowest point or under the safety valve discharge, where water arrives first. The sensor body stays dry and can be fixed to the wall, leaving only the probe on the floor.
Smoke, climate and batteries. The Plus Smoke goes on the ceiling in the middle of the room, not directly above the flue. The H&T Gen3 fixes to the wall at mid height, away from the hot body of the boiler, which would skew the reading. The kit includes four Energizer AA lithium cells, because AA cells are not supplied with the Shelly sensors.
App and pairing. Fit the cells and add each sensor in the Shelly app with the setup wizard: first-time setup goes over Bluetooth, then the sensor joins the Wi-Fi. Assign the sensors to the plant room, press the test button on the smoke detector and wet the Flood probe to check the notifications.
Recommended automations. Set a minimum temperature threshold on the H&T, a few degrees above freezing for example, with a notification. Turn on the water and smoke notifications for everyone in the household. If you add a Shelly socket or relay later, you can switch on a frost heater when the temperature drops too far.
Contents verified. Flood Gen4, Plus Smoke and H&T Gen3 are Shelly Wi-Fi devices and run in the same app with no hub. The kit includes a pack of four Energizer lithium AA cells, because the sensors' AA batteries are not supplied in the box; lithium copes better with the low temperatures of unheated rooms.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No. The three sensors connect straight to the home Wi-Fi router on the 2.4GHz network and are managed in the Shelly app. You need a good signal in the plant room: if it is weak, a Wi-Fi repeater is worth adding.
Does it work with Alexa, Google or Apple?
The kit runs from the Shelly app. Temperature, humidity and sensor status can be brought into Alexa and Google Home through the Shelly integrations. Keep notifications and thresholds in the Shelly app.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The sensors are battery-powered and either sit in place or fix with screws or double-sided tape. There is no electrical work and nothing is changed on the boiler or the water heater. At most you need a drill for the wall plugs.
What happens if there is no internet?
The smoke detector still sounds locally. Without internet no notifications reach you away from home; the sensors start sending data again when the line comes back. Data from the period without a network may be missing from the history.
Are batteries included?
Yes, as far as needed: the kit contains four Energizer AA lithium cells, as the sensors do not come with any. The Plus Smoke uses the battery the manufacturer supplies. The charge level of every sensor is checked in the app.
Can I control the water heater as well?
Not with this kit, which only monitors. Switching an electric water heater on and off to a schedule or with your solar needs a Shelly relay or meter in the board, fitted by an electrician. Get in touch through the contact page for the right combination.
Can I add more sensors?
Yes. You can add more Flood sensors for the washing machine and the bathrooms, more H&T units for the cellar or the loft and smoke alarms in the other rooms, all in the same app. Each extra device pairs through the same guided procedure.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
