What it does
- Three ultrasonic sensors, mounted above the open tanks, measure the distance to the liquid surface from 0.25 to 5 m and send the level every 10 minutes.
- Two capacitive sensors, with the strip glued on the outside of plastic drums and IBCs, report when acid or fertiliser drop below the chosen height: no part touches the product.
- The pressure sensor on the delivery line shows whether the pump is working at the right pressure and warns about clogged filters, breakages and a pump that has stopped.
- The pulse counter reads the flow meter already present on the installation and totals the litres delivered per shift and per day.
- The leak sensor, with the probe on the bottom of the containment basin, raises the alarm as soon as liquid collects.
- Minimum, maximum and pressure thresholds generate notifications on your smartphone; history and charts can also be consulted from a PC.

How it is installed
Gateway. On a wall or on a pole, high up, in the fertigation room or in the room next door, away from metal masses. Powered with the supplied power adapter or via PoE, network connection with an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. IP65 protection, operation from -40 to +70 °C: it withstands the humidity of the room, not a direct jet.
Ultrasonic sensors on the tanks. On a bracket or a crossbar above the tank, vertically, with the cone facing the liquid and a clear line of sight. More than 30 cm from the wall, away from the filling jet, from the agitator and from pipes that cross the beam. At least 25 cm must remain between the sensor and the maximum level. Not suitable for closed tanks with a domed top. IP67, operation from -15 to +60 °C.
Threshold sensors on the drums. Only on plastic containers with a flat and thin wall, up to about 3 mm: they do not work on metal. The strip is glued on the outside, adhering well, at the height below which the warning is wanted; on IBCs it goes between the meshes of the cage, without touching it. Two strips must be more than 15 cm apart. The strip is IP30: it must be kept dry. Then comes the calibration from the app in two steps, with the liquid at half the strip and then above it.
Pressure, flow meter and basin. Pressure sensor with a male G 1/2" connection on a three-way cock, in a straight section of the delivery line, away from the pump and the valves; with dosing pumps that pulsate a damper is needed. 1.5 m cable to the transmitting body. Pulse counter connected with two wires to the output of the flow meter, 1 m cable. Leak probe fixed to the bottom of the basin with the two tips towards the collection point, without touching metal parts; 1.5 m cable.
Configuration. Via NFC with a smartphone and the free app of the manufacturer: height of the tanks, thresholds, litres per pulse, reading intervals, names of tanks and drums. The gateway is configured from a browser. Neither a PC nor cables are needed.
Documentation included. Written installation guide with positions, distances, calibration of the threshold sensors and switch-on sequence, and initial configuration of levels and thresholds based on the dimensions of the tanks indicated when ordering.

Before you order
Is an internet connection needed on the premises and how far does the gateway reach?
It is needed at the point where the gateway is installed: a network socket or the farm Wi-Fi coverage. The sensors do not use Wi-Fi, they talk to the gateway by radio. If there is no line on the farm, the version with a 4G gateway is available, which requires a data SIM (not included, any operator, less than 1 GB of traffic per month). It is chosen when ordering. Inside the room and in the nearby sheds the radio coverage gives no difficulty; outdoors the manufacturer declares for this gateway up to 2 km in a built-up area, less in the presence of greenhouses and metal structures. The same gateway manages hundreds of devices: sensors in the greenhouse and in the field can be added later.
Do the sensors withstand acids and fertilisers?
The kit is designed not to touch them. The ultrasound measures from above, the threshold strips stay on the outside of the container. For the ultrasonic sensors the manufacturer does not declare resistance to acid vapours: they go on the stock solution and water tanks, not above open tanks of concentrated acid. The pressure sensor has the wetted part in 316L stainless steel and must be mounted where water or diluted solution passes, not on the acid line.
Which containers does the threshold sensor work on?
On plastic drums, barrels and IBCs with a flat and thin wall, up to about 3 mm. It does not give the level continuously: it says whether the liquid is above or below the height of the strip. It does not work on steel and must not be glued onto concrete. For metal tanks or to have the level in centimetres, write to us from the contacts section: we replace the sensor with a suitable one.
What flow meter is needed?
A flow meter with a clean-contact or reed pulse output, not included. Many recent meters are prepared for it and it is enough to add the emitter of the manufacturer. In the app you set how many litres one pulse is worth. If yours has no output, tell us the make and model from the contacts section.
Does the leak sensor also detect oils and diesel?
No. It detects water and liquids that conduct electricity: fertiliser solutions and diluted acids it detects, oils and diesel it does not. The alarm goes off when the liquid reaches 5 mm on the two tips. If the basin is outdoors, rainwater sets off the alarm just like a leak.
I have more tanks or more drums
The kit is configured on the installation: every extra tank requires an ultrasonic sensor, every drum a threshold sensor; gateway and platform stay the same. Among the options of the product you will find the size with 5 tanks and 4 drums. Battery life
Ultrasonic and pressure sensors: up to 10 years with one reading every 10 minutes at 25 °C. Threshold and leak sensors: more than 10 years under the conditions declared by the manufacturer. Pulse counter: about 5 years with one transmission every 10 minutes. All the batteries are lithium and replaceable; the charge level is visible in the app.
Where is the data consulted and are there any fees?
On the app and on the portal of the manufacturer, from smartphone and PC, with charts, thresholds and notifications; no fee for basic use. Where there is fertigation software or a management system, the gateway can also send the data to that system (MQTT or HTTP): the configuration is included.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The sensors are battery powered and keep measuring; the ultrasonic ones, the pressure sensor and the pulse counter keep the readings in memory and retransmit them when the connection comes back, so the total of the litres is not lost.
Is an electrician needed?
No: no sensor is connected to 230 V and the gateway is powered by its own adapter or from the network cable. The sensors are fixed with screws, cable ties and clamps. A plumber is needed only for the half-inch socket on the delivery line, if it is missing.
