Continuous temperature recording for three refrigerators and one cold room, with the cold room door monitored, a methane gas detector, floor water leak sensors and pantry climate. Battery-powered sensors, LoRaWAN radio transmission, history and alarms from the app.
What it does
- Three sensors with a stainless steel probe measure the temperature inside the refrigerators and send it every 10 minutes to the gateway connected to the network of the premises. The probe sits in a buffer bottle filled with glass microspheres, which reproduces the thermal inertia of the food.
- The cold room sensor measures the internal temperature and humidity and, with the magnetic contact on the door, reports every opening and closing: in the app you set the alert for a door left open.
- When the thresholds set for each refrigerator are exceeded, the notification arrives on your smartphone, even when the premises are closed.
- The methane gas detector sounds on site and sends the alarm to the app. It has a relay output and a 12 V pulse output to drive the gas shut-off solenoid valve, where fitted.
- The two leak sensors, laid on the floor under the dishwasher and the sinks, report the presence of water from 0.5 mm, with a built-in buzzer and a notification.
- The sensor in the pantry records the temperature and humidity of the room where dry goods are stored.
- The history of all the measurements can be consulted from a smartphone and from a PC, with charts for each refrigerator: an automatic record supporting the HACCP self-monitoring plan.

Available sizes
The size is chosen at the top, together with the version and the connectivity. The diagram, the photo and the table above show the «3 refrigerators + 1 cold room» size; with the other sizes only the quantities of the devices listed below change, the rest of the kit is identical.
- 3 refrigerators + 1 cold room: 3 temperature sensors with probe, 3 buffer bottles, 1 door contact with temperature and humidity
- 5 refrigerators + 1 cold room: 5 temperature sensors with probe, 5 buffer bottles, 1 door contact with temperature and humidity
- 6 refrigerators + 2 cold rooms: 6 temperature sensors with probe, 6 buffer bottles, 2 door contacts with temperature and humidity
In the complete kit the installation material related to these devices (brackets, sumps, clips, cables, boxes) follows the size chosen. For a different size write to us from the contact section.
Available connectivity
- Customer network (Ethernet/Wi-Fi): 1 compact indoor LoRaWAN gateway
- Built-in 4G: 1 compact LoRaWAN gateway with 4G. SIM not included
- Large building: 1 semi-industrial LoRaWAN gateway. Semi-industrial IP65 gateway, PoE, greater range: hotel kitchens, canteens, central production kitchens
In the complete kit the material for the gateway changes accordingly (network cable, pole, PoE injector). The SIM for the 4G versions is not included.
Choose the version

Before you order
Do you need an internet connection in the kitchen?
You need it at the point where the gateway is installed, usually the office or the back room: a network socket or the Wi-Fi coverage of the premises. The sensors do not use Wi-Fi, they talk to the gateway by radio. If the premises have no line, the version with a 4G gateway is available, which requires a data SIM (not included, any operator, traffic below 1 GB per month). It is chosen at the time of order.
Does the gateway in the office cover the kitchen, the cold room and the pantry?
In premises on one or two floors, yes: LoRaWAN radio passes through walls and floor slabs far better than Wi-Fi. The range inside a building depends on walls and metal structures, which is why the gateway goes in a central position and high up. For kitchens in large facilities, with thick walls, several buildings or many floors, the options include the «large building» version with a longer-range gateway, IP65 and able to be powered over PoE. One gateway handles hundreds of devices.
Does it work with any refrigerator or cold room?
Yes. The system does not connect to the electronics of the refrigerator: the probe passes through the door gasket and the sensor body stays outside, where the radio is not shielded. This applies to upright cabinets, refrigerated tables, display counters, freezers and blast chillers. In the cold room the sensor is inside: the metal panels attenuate the signal, so it is best to fix it near the door and check reception during installation. Refrigerators and cold room are not included: the kit monitors the ones you already have.
Are the records valid for HACCP?
The refrigerator sensors comply with the EN 12830 standard on temperature recorders for food and the manufacturer indicates them for the continuous monitoring of critical control points. The system records one reading every 10 minutes, day and night, and keeps the history with date and time. How to include these records in the self-monitoring plan remains a choice of the HACCP manager.
How does the gas detector work? My kitchen runs on LPG
The detector measures methane only, that is mains gas: it does not detect LPG or carbon monoxide. With LPG or all-electric kitchens, ask us from the contact section for the kit without the detector. It is powered from an ordinary socket with the supplied 12 V power supply. An electrician is only needed if the socket is missing or if you want to connect the relay output (250 V, 10 A) to a siren or to an extractor fan, or the 12 V pulse output to a gas solenoid valve. The sensing element has a life of 5 years from switch-on, after which the detector must be replaced. All the other devices are battery powered and are mounted without an electrician.
I have more refrigerators or more cold rooms
The kit is configured on the kitchen: for every extra refrigerator a sensor with probe and buffer bottle is added, for every cold room a sensor with door contact; gateway and platform stay the same. Among the product options you will find the larger sizes; for different situations write to us from the contact section stating the number of refrigerators, cold rooms and rooms: we will send you the composition and the quotation of the adapted kit.
Battery life
With one reading every 10 minutes at 25 °C the manufacturer states about 8 years for the refrigerator sensors and up to 10 years for the cold room and pantry sensors; the leak sensors have a button cell of about five and a half years. Shorter intervals and a weak signal reduce the life. The batteries are replaceable and the charge level is visible in the app.
Where is the data consulted and are there any fees?
On the app and on the portal of the manufacturer, from smartphone and PC, with charts, thresholds and notifications; no fee for basic use. If you have HACCP software or a management system, the gateway can also send the data to that system (MQTT or HTTP): the configuration is included.
What happens if the internet is down or the power goes off?
The sensors are battery powered and keep measuring. The refrigerator ones store up to 4,000 readings in memory and retransmit them when the connection comes back, so the history is left without gaps. Smartphone notifications resume when the line is restored. The gas detector and the leak sensors sound on site even without a network; the gas detector, however, is mains powered and is off during a blackout.
Do they withstand humidity and washing down?
The sensors of the refrigerators, cold room, pantry and leaks are IP67: they withstand condensation, humidity and splashes. The gas detector and the gateway are IP30, for indoor use: the first goes high up on the wall, away from steam and splashes, the second outside the kitchen.
