Eastron SDM630MCT Energy Meter Three-Phase 5 A Modbus RS485
The Eastron SDM630MCT is a multifunction three-phase DIN rail energy meter that measures current through current transformers (CTs) rather than directly. The current input is rated 5 A (CT secondary): this allows high-power industrial and commercial installations to be measured, up to primary currents in the thousands of amperes, while keeping the instrument compact and safe.
In photovoltaics it is used as an exchange or production meter: it communicates over Modbus RTU on RS485 and integrates with inverters, data loggers and EMS systems for export limitation and energy flow monitoring. It takes up 4 DIN modules, has a backlit display and MID certification under Directive 2014/32/EU, so the certified versions can also be used for fiscal and billing measurements.
