Who it is forPanel builders and electricians who want to switch loads straight from the board.
What you monitorFour 230V circuits and a dry contact for boilers, gates or contactors.
How you control iteWeLink app, Alexa and Google Home; the Matter relays from Apple Home too.
InstallationDIN-rail modules in the consumer unit: qualified personnel, installation isolated.

What it does

  • The two Sonoff Basic DIN Wi-Fi Matter units switch two circuits from the board and join the Wi-Fi directly, with no hub; over Matter they also add to Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home.
  • The two Sonoff Basic DIN Zigbee units switch two more circuits and run through the included ZB Bridge Pro hub.
  • The MINI-ZBD with its dry contact closes a volt-free contact: useful for a boiler enable input, for opening a gate or for a contactor coil.
  • It is all run from the eWeLink app, with schedules, scenes and control from outside the house.
  • The 8-module surface enclosure holds the DIN relays with spare ways; the Sonoff bracket and connectors are for mounting on the rail.
For larger boards, power contactors, energy metering or three-phase loads, get in touch from the contact page with the schematic: we will build the kit with the right modules.
Sonoff DIN rail home automation panel kit: installation diagram
1Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro hub near the distribution board, outside the metal enclosure if there is one, USB-powered and on the Wi-Fi: it runs the Zigbee modules.
2Sonoff Basic DIN Wi-Fi Matter on the DIN rail in the consumer unit: it switches one circuit, with no hub. Two in the kit.
3Sonoff Basic DIN Zigbee on the DIN rail in the consumer unit: it switches one circuit through the hub. Two in the kit.
4Dry-contact Sonoff MINI-ZBD, mounted on the rail with its bracket: boiler enable, gate or a contactor coil.

How it is installed

Hub and network. The ZB Bridge Pro goes near the board but not shut inside a metal enclosure, powered over USB and connected to the home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi from the eWeLink app. The Matter Wi-Fi relays join the router directly: check the signal reaches the enclosure properly, as a plastic one weakens it very little.
A DIN relay in the consumer unit. With the installation isolated at the main board, the Basic DIN units mount on the rail of the 8-module BTicino consumer unit included, where they take up four ways and leave room spare. Supply and loads are wired to the manufacturer's diagram, within the stated maximum current; heavier loads are switched through a contactor. Work on 230V must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Dry contact and wiring. The MINI-ZBD clips onto the rail with the included Sonoff bracket; the dry contact wires to the boiler's enable input, to the gate, or to the contactor coil, following the instructions from the maker of that equipment. The conductors are terminated with the crimp ferrules and the joints made with the Wago lever connectors. The Sonoff DIN-rail connector set completes the installation.
App and pairing. Switch the supply back on. In the eWeLink app add the two Basic DIN Zigbee units and the MINI-ZBD to the bridge. The Basic DIN Wi-Fi Matter units are added to eWeLink directly or, with the Matter QR code, to Apple Home, Alexa or Google Home. Name each relay after its load and label the consumer unit with the same names.
Recommended automations. Garden lights on at sunset and off at midnight. Towel rail or circulation pump in set time bands. Boiler enable switched on a schedule or from the app while you are out. A “holiday” scene that turns off the loads you do not need. A pulse from the MINI-ZBD to open the gate from the app, if the gate operator allows it.
Contents verified. The Basic DIN Zigbee units and the MINI-ZBD work with the Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro hub included; the Basic DIN Wi-Fi Matter units need no hub. All of them run from the eWeLink app. The kit includes the BTicino 8-module surface-mounted enclosure, which takes four DIN modules plus spare capacity, the DIN rail connector set and the Sonoff mounting bracket, the crimp ferrules for wiring inside the board and the Wago 221-413 lever connectors for the connections.

Before you order

Do you need a hub?

For the two Zigbee Basic DIN modules and the MINI-ZBD, yes, and it is included: the Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro. The two Wi-Fi Matter Basic DIN modules, on the other hand, connect straight to the Wi-Fi and work without a bridge. All of them appear in the same eWeLink app.

Does it work with Alexa, Google and Apple?

Yes with Alexa and Google Home, for every relay, through the eWeLink app linked to their account. The Basic DIN Wi-Fi Matter also add to Apple Home and the other ecosystems over Matter. For the Zigbee modules in Apple Home, support depends on the bridge firmware.

Do you need an electrician?

Yes. The modules wire into the 230V line, behind the switches, in the junction boxes or in the board: the connections must be made by qualified personnel, with the installation isolated at the main board. The DIN relays go in the consumer unit, with upstream protection sized to the standards.

What can I switch with the dry contact?

Anything that works by closing a volt-free contact: the enable input of a boiler or a heat pump, opening a gate or a door, the coil of a power contactor. The connection must be made as stated by the manufacturer of the equipment being controlled.

What happens if there is no internet?

Control from away and the voice assistants need internet. On the home network the Matter relays stay controllable locally from the Matter controllers; for the Zigbee modules, some scenes can run locally on the bridge, as the manufacturer describes. It is worth providing manual controls at the board for the important loads.

Can I add modules?

Yes: the enclosure has spare ways for more DIN relays, and further Sonoff Zigbee modules and sensors can be added to the same bridge. The Matter Wi-Fi relays are added to the app with no limits tied to the bridge.

Are batteries included?

Not needed: every device in the kit is powered from the 230V circuit and the bridge over USB. There are no battery-powered devices in the kit. If you add battery sensors or buttons later, the battery type is given in each product's specifications and normally comes in the box.

What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?

Get in touch through the contact page quoting the kit code: we will point you to a compatible alternative, with the same protocol and the same functions, so the rest of the kit stays as it is and the installation instructions still hold.

Why buy on Amazon?

Purchase, delivery, returns and warranty are handled by Amazon: delivery times, returns and warranty are shown on Amazon when you buy. The kit is our own work: the products work together and the basket already holds them in the right quantities.
