What it does
- The CAM-B1P units record in 2K and show a colour image at night, according to the features the manufacturer states.
- AI detection tells people from other movement and sends a notification to the eWeLink app, cutting down pointless alerts.
- The 1080p Slim Gen2 watches one room indoors: the entrance, the living room or the room where the pets are left.
- Each camera records to its own High Endurance microSD, included and suitable for continuous writing; the recordings are played back in the app.
- In the eWeLink app you watch the live view from away and enable or mute notifications by time of day.
- The cameras join the home Wi-Fi: no hub and no recorder needed.

How it is installed
Wi-Fi network. The cameras join the home router directly on the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, with no hub. Before mounting, check the signal strength at the chosen positions with your phone, outside above all: thick walls and distance cut it down. If the signal is weak, an outdoor repeater or a mesh system sorts it out before the cameras go up.
Outdoor cameras. The CAM-B1P units are fixed to the wall with the bracket and wall plugs in the box, at about 2.5-3 m, sheltered by the eaves or a balcony, pointed at entrances and walkways without covering other people's property or the public road more than necessary. The power lead is run to a socket indoors or to a protected outdoor socket.
Storage and power supply. Each camera takes its own 64GB SanDisk High Endurance microSD, one per camera, suited to continuous recording. The 5V 2A USB power supplies are included because the cameras come without one: they go in a socket out of the wet. The Slim Gen2 goes on a unit or on a wall indoors.
App and pairing. In the eWeLink app each camera is added following the maker's procedure, usually by pointing it at a QR code shown on the phone. Then the microSD is formatted from the app, you choose continuous or event-only recording and give it a clear name: entrance, courtyard, back, living room.
Recommended automations. Person notifications only on the outdoor cameras; for the indoor Slim Gen2, notifications on only when you are out, off in the evening. Event recording, to keep more days on the microSD. It is worth setting detection zones that leave out the road and trees moving in the wind.
Contents verified. The CAM-B1P units and the Slim Gen2 are Sonoff Wi-Fi cameras managed from the same eWeLink app, with no hub. The 64GB SanDisk High Endurance microSD cards are included, one per camera, for local recording, along with the 5V 2A USB power supplies, because the power supply is not in the box.

Before you order
Do you need a hub or a video recorder?
No. The cameras connect straight to the home Wi-Fi and each records to its own microSD, included in the kit. You view and manage them in the eWeLink app on your phone, from outside the house as well.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
The cameras are managed from the eWeLink app, which links to Alexa and Google Home. Which features are available on smart displays, live view on an Echo Show for example, depends on the model: it is stated on the manufacturer's Amazon listing.
Do you need an electrician?
No: the cameras fix to the wall with wall plugs and run off the USB power supply in a socket, with no 230V wiring. Outdoors the socket must be sheltered from the rain; if you need a new socket outside, that has to be done by an electrician.
What happens if there is no internet?
As long as the cameras have power and the home Wi-Fi is up, they can keep recording to the microSD with the settings you have chosen. Live view from outside and notifications resume when the connection comes back. If the power fails, the cameras shut down.
Can I add more cameras?
Yes: more Sonoff cameras are added to the same eWeLink app, each with its own microSD. Sonoff sensors and relays go into the same system too, to switch on an outside light when a person is detected, for example.
Are batteries included?
There are no battery devices in the kit: the cameras run from a socket with the USB power supplies included. In a power cut they go off, unless you feed them from a UPS.
Where do the recordings end up?
On each camera's microSD, locally: no subscription is needed to record and play back. Any cloud services from the manufacturer are optional. With event-only recording the same card holds several more days of footage.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
