The LONGi LR7-72HVH-655M brings HPBC 2.0 back-contact technology into the large 2382 × 1134 mm format, delivering 655 W at a record 24.2 % efficiency. The 144 cells (6×24) built on TaiRay wafers carry no contacts on the sunlit side: the absence of front busbars removes parasitic shading and recovers active area, while the back-contact structure cuts resistive losses and lowers the cell operating temperature.
This is a monofacial module with a single 3.2 mm glass weighing 28.5 kg, a modest figure for its power class that keeps installation manageable on industrial roofs, warehouses, carports and ground-mounted systems. The power temperature coefficient of -0.26 %/°C is the best among mainstream technologies and limits yield loss on hot days; the back-contact cell also responds well in low light conditions and under partial shading. At 655 W per module, the number of units, strings and structural components needed for a given kWp drops sharply, bringing down total system cost. Warranty: 15 years on the product and 30 years linear on power.
