Victron Energy Smart BatteryProtect 12/24V 65A electronic Bluetooth programmable battery disconnect switch

Smart BatteryProtect is an electronic switch that we recommend using in lithium battery systems with an internal BMS, like ours.
It is used to disconnect the battery from the main 12V/24V loads to prevent it from over-discharging and being damaged.
A lithium battery can be fully discharged without being damaged right away. We recommend recharging it within a few weeks, and no later than 2 months. However, by using a Smart Battery Protect, we can disconnect the loads before the BMS kicks in. The battery will still have some charge left, but the loads will stop drawing power.
  • Available in 65A, 100A, and 220A versions.
  • The 65A version is sufficient in most cases. Multiplus and Quattro inverters, which draw over 200A, can be programmed via the MK3 USB interface, so they don't need the Smart Battery Protect.
  • Also great for lead-acid battery systems.
  • Bluetooth: simple programming
When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, you can set any activation/deactivation level.
Alternatively, one of nine activation/deactivation levels can be set using the programmed PIN.
If needed, Bluetooth can be disabled.


  • Extremely low current consumption
This is important for Li-ion batteries, especially after a shutdown due to low voltage.


  • Overvoltage protection
To prevent damage to sensitive loads caused by overvoltage, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16.3V and 32.6V.
  • Fire-resistant
There are no relays, only MOSFET switches, so there's no sparking.
