The Dyness S51280 is the battery module of the STACK280 series, a high voltage storage system with 280 Ah LiFePO₄ cells designed for small and medium commercial and industrial applications. Each module delivers 14.336 kWh nominal (13.619 kWh usable) at 51.2 V and works on the DC side of a high voltage hybrid inverter, to which it is connected for charging and discharging.
The modules stack without cables on top of the SBDU200 unit and its base: from 3 to 15 modules form a cluster of 43 to 215 kWh with an operating voltage of 134.4–864 V, and up to 12 clusters can be paralleled. The built-in BMS talks to the inverter over CAN/RS485 and the system is monitored via Wi-Fi and app; the manufacturer declares compatibility with Solis, Growatt, Sosen, Solinteg, Atess, Magarevo and Deye inverters. With an IP20 protection rating, installation is intended only in an indoor technical room; the heated version allows charging down to −20 °C.
