Fully encapsulated: waterproof, shockproof, and fireproof

Water, oil, or dirt will not damage the Blue Smart IP67 charger. The housing is made of cast aluminum, while all the electronics are resin-potted.

The highest efficiency ever

A new industry standard: with 92% efficiency and above, these chargers dissipate three to four times less heat. And when the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than one Watt, a value five to ten times lower than the industry standard.

Adaptive 5-stage charging algorithm: bulk charge – absorption – reconditioning – float – storage

The Blue Smart charger includes a microprocessor-controlled "adaptive" charge management system. The "adaptive" function automatically optimizes the charging process based on how the battery is used.

Storage mode: less maintenance and less aging during periods when the battery is not in use

Storage mode activates when the battery is not subjected to discharge for 24 consecutive hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimize corrosion of the positive plates. The voltage is brought back up to "absorption" level once a week to balance the battery's state of charge. This function prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the main causes of premature battery aging.

Also charges LiFePO₄ batteries

LiFePO₄ batteries are charged using a simple constant current – absorption – float algorithm.

Thermal protection

It can be used in a hot environment, such as an engine room. The output current decreases if the temperature exceeds 60°C, but the charger continues to operate.

Two status indicator LEDs:

  • Yellow LED: maximum charge (fast flashing), absorption (slow flashing), float (steady), storage (off)
  • Green LED: in operation
