The bidirectional DC-DC from the Australian company Safiery, the Scotty AI model, is a revolutionary product that lets you charge the leisure batteries through the alternator with a power of 1500-3000W.
In other words, it can draw up to 250A safely, without damaging the alternator.
This is a bidirectional DC-DC, a product designed for electric cars, adapted for boats and motorhomes.

There is no need for a 12V leisure battery!
The energy required by 12V equipment is transferred from the 24/36/48V batteries via Scotty AI, with a 25-millisecond switch. With a current of up to 250A.
It can draw current from both the alternator and the leisure batteries. Example: a winch drawing 6kW can simultaneously draw 3kW from the alternator and 3kW from the bidirectional Scotty AI DC-DC.

24V/48V Leisure Battery
In the diagram you can see there is no 12V leisure battery or 24/48V-to-12V voltage converter.
Scotty AI can draw and transfer energy to the lithium leisure batteries. It powers the 12V loads simultaneously from the alternator while the vehicle is running, and from the leisure batteries when the alternator is off.

Example: fishing boat with mixed combustion (12V) and electric (36V, e.g. MinnKota or Motorguide) motors.
There is no need for a 12V lithium leisure battery, just use the 36V batteries.
The 36V lithium batteries will also be recharged via the alternator at a speed previously unimaginable.

Here you can see the wiring of the previous diagram.
The 12V loads (winch, onboard equipment, etc.) are connected to the Scotty AI on the 12V side.
The ground is shared, and the 36V motor is connected to the Scotty AI on the 36V side.
A 12V/220V or 36V/220V inverter can also be added.
So, what sets Scotty AI apart from every other DC-DC on the market is that it is bi-directional.
This lets you NOT use a 12V leisure battery or a 24/36/48V-to-12V voltage converter...
...As well as charging the leisure batteries at the maximum speed the alternator allows, SAFELY!
