Batteries to add to a solar installation already on the roof: Marstek Venus all-in-one units, from the Venus E Mini at 2kWh and 1.5kW, plug-in and wall mounted, to the Venus E 3.0 at 5.12kWh and 2.5kW, the Venus A at 2.12kWh with four MPPT and the Venus X at 10kWh and 6kW, AC-coupled.

The point is AC coupling: these systems sit downstream of the existing inverter, read the flows with an energy meter and charge off the surplus, so there is no inverter to replace and no strings to rewire. This is how you add storage to a ten-year-old installation.

Check the discharge power: it has to cover the loads you want to run in the evening.
