Footfall in the breakfast room, air quality in the function rooms, temperature of the pool water, flooding in the technical rooms, natural gas in the boiler room, noise in the lounge, occupancy of the shared toilets and SOS buttons for the pool and the spa. LoRaWAN radio transmission, data and alarms from the app.
What it does
- The two ceiling people counters count entries and exits at two passages, for example the breakfast room and the entrance to the spa. They use a low-resolution thermal sensor, with no images, with a declared accuracy of up to 90%: you can see at what time the room fills up and when to reinforce the buffet or the staff.
- The two air monitors measure CO2, PM2.5 and PM10 particulate, volatile organic compounds, temperature, humidity, pressure and light. A display, a light indicator and a buzzer warn on the spot; above the threshold the notification reaches maintenance.
- The PT100 probe measures the water temperature on the pool recirculation circuit and transmits it every 10 minutes: a heat exchanger at a standstill or a heat pump that has tripped can be seen on the graph before the guests notice.
- The two water-sensing cables, 3 m long, are laid on the floor along the balance tank and around the boiler: the alarm is raised as soon as water touches the cable at any point. The same sensor measures the temperature and the humidity of the room.
- The methane detector in the boiler room sounds on the spot at 85 dB and sends the alarm to the app. It has a relay output and a 12 V pulse output for a gas shut-off valve.
- The sound level sensor records the noise in the lounge, from 30 to 120 dB: it is used to manage music and evening events and to answer complaints with data.
- The sensors in the shared toilets show free or occupied and record the uses, so that cleaning follows actual use. The red SOS buttons send the call to the staff together with the location.

Before you order
Is an internet connection needed?
It is needed at the point where the gateway is installed: a network socket or the Wi-Fi coverage of the property. The sensors do not use the guest Wi-Fi, they talk by radio with the gateway. If you prefer to keep the system separate from the hotel network, the version with a 4G gateway is available, which requires a data SIM (not included, any operator, less than 1 GB of traffic per month). It is chosen when ordering.
Does one gateway cover the rooms, the pool and the boiler room in the basement?
LoRaWAN radio passes through walls and floor slabs far better than Wi-Fi, but the range inside a building depends on walls, slabs and metal structures: the gateway goes in a central position and high up. With underground technical rooms, a pool in a separate block, thick walls or many floors, choose the «large building» version among the options, with a gateway of greater range, IP65 and able to be powered over PoE. For resorts spread over several buildings, write to us from the contacts section. One gateway handles hundreds of devices.
How is the temperature of the pool water measured?
With a PT100 probe inserted into a thermowell on the recirculation pipe, in the technical room: the measurement is that of the water coming back from the pool. The thermowell, included in the complete kit, has a 1/2" threaded connection and requires a boss on the pipe: this is a job for a plumber or for the pool maintenance technician. The kit measures the temperature; chlorine, pH and other chemical parameters are not included.
Do the people counters film the guests? How accurate are they?
They have no camera: they use a thermal sensor with just a few points, which sees heat outlines and produces no images. The manufacturer declares an accuracy of up to 90%, which depends on the mounting height and on the height of the people. The data is there to read the trend in footfall, not to count the breakfasts served.
Can the SOS button be at the edge of the pool?
The button is an indoor device, with IP30 protection: it goes on the wall in the pool area or in the spa, clearly visible but sheltered from splashes and condensation, not at the edge of the pool, not in a sauna or a steam room. The call arrives as a notification to the staff and needs the internet connection: it is extra help, it does not replace lifeguard supervision or the alarm systems required by the regulations.
My boiler room does not run on natural gas
The detector measures methane only, that is mains gas: it does not detect LPG or carbon monoxide. With an LPG, oil or heat pump plant room, ask us from the contacts section for the kit without the detector. In any case the detector does not replace the safety devices required by the regulations for the boiler room. The sensing element has a life of 5 years from switch-on, after which the detector must be replaced.
My property is larger or different
The kit is configured on the property: people counters are added for other passages, air monitors for other rooms, sensing cables for other technical rooms, sensors for other toilets; the gateway and the platform stay the same. Write to us from the contacts section stating rooms, passages, toilets, pools and technical rooms: we will send you the composition and the quotation for the adapted kit.
What has to be mains powered? Is an electrician needed?
The gas detector is powered from a socket with its own 12 V power supply. The air monitors also work on batteries, but with the particulate sensor the life is about one year: it is better to power them permanently over USB-C 5 V. The people counters are supplied for USB-C 5 V power or for battery operation depending on the version. An electrician is needed only where there is no socket nearby, or if the outputs of the gas detector are connected to a siren or to a shut-off valve. Everything else is battery powered.
Battery life
The manufacturer states 10 years for the pool temperature sensor and more than 10 years for the flood sensors, with one reading every 10 minutes at 25 °C; 7 to 9 years for the SOS buttons; up to 5 years for the noise sensor; about 3 to 4 years for the toilet sensors. Shorter intervals and a weak signal reduce the life. The batteries are replaceable and the charge level is visible in the app.
Where is the data consulted, are there any fees, and what if the internet is down?
On the manufacturer's app and portal, from a smartphone and a PC, with graphs, thresholds and notifications; no fee for basic use. Where there is a BMS or management software, the gateway can also send the data to that system (MQTT or HTTP): the configuration is included. Without internet the sensors keep measuring; the pool sensor, the air monitors and the people counters keep the readings in memory, to be recovered when the connection comes back. The gas detector and the air monitors also warn on the spot with their buzzer when the network is down; notifications on the smartphone resume when the line is restored.
What is not included
