Mounting hardware is the part of the system that has to survive twenty-five years of sun, frost and wind: what counts is the material (anodised aluminium, stainless steel fasteners), compatibility with the roof covering and the snow and wind loads for the site.

On vehicles, structural bonding with no drilling is preferred; on fixed roofs, hooks or brackets matched to the roof covering.
