A hybrid inverter handles PV strings, battery and grid at the same time, so it replaces a string inverter plus a battery inverter. What matters is AC power, the number of MPPTs (which sets how many roof planes with different orientations you can connect), the battery voltage supported (48V low voltage, or high voltage above 100V) and the backup power available off-grid.

Grid connection in Italy needs CEI 0-21 or CEI 0-16 certification.
