The LONGi LR7-54HVH-490M belongs to the Hi-MO X10 Explorer family and is currently one of the highest efficiency solar panels available in a residential format: 490 W from 1800 × 1134 mm, which works out at 24.0 % module efficiency. That step up in performance comes from the HPBC 2.0 back-contact cell built on TaiRay wafers: moving every electrical contact to the rear of the cell removes the shading caused by front busbars and recovers active area, for a direct power gain within the same footprint.
The module is monofacial with a single 3.2 mm glass and weighs only 21.6 kg, which makes handling and mounting considerably easier on residential pitched roofs and small commercial systems.
