The Trina Solar TSM-460NED9R.28 is the 460 W rating of the Vertex S+ Shield series, with 23.0 % efficiency in a compact 1762 × 1134 mm format. It uses 144 N-type i-TOPCon Ultra half-cells in a heat-strengthened dual glass structure that removes the polymer backsheet and gives the module certified mechanical loads of up to 7000 Pa on the front and 5000 Pa in uplift, well beyond the 5400/2400 Pa standard of conventional panels.
It is the natural choice for residential systems that need maximum power on limited roof planes, and for every installation in alpine or coastal areas subject to heavy snow load and strong wind gusts. N-type cells do not suffer from light-induced degradation, hold a low annual degradation rate and work well in low light conditions; the temperature coefficient of -0.29 %/°C and the 43 °C NMOT keep summer losses in check. The black frame and dark front deliver a clean visual result, with 25 years of product warranty and 30 years of linear warranty on power.
