NH fuse base 1000V DC
The part that holds the NH fuse and takes the power cable
1000V DC · 160A to 630A · bolted terminals to 300mm²
A single-pole fuse base for NH knife-blade fuse links in DC circuits, rated 1000V DC. It is the piece everyone forgets when ordering NH fuses: the fuse on its own connects to nothing, because it has two blades and no threaded holes. The cables land here, on the bolted terminals of the base, and the fuse pushes into the clips.
Two things to know before ordering. The fuse is not included and must match the size of the base: NH0 on PK0, NH1 on PK1, NH2 on PK2, NH3 on PK3. And the base is single pole: one per way if you protect the positive alone, doubled if the design calls for protection on both poles.

| Base | Fuse size | Current | Bolts | Cable | Torque |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PK0 | NH0 | 160A | M8-M8 | 25-150mm² | 32Nm |
| PK1 | NH1 | 250A | M10-M10 | 25-150mm² | 32Nm |
| PK2 | NH2 | 400A | M10-M10 | 25-240mm² | 32Nm |
| PK3 | NH3 | 630A | M12-M12 | 25-300mm² | 32Nm |
All sizes 1000V DC, single pole, screw fixing. Dimensions PK1 55×198×83.6mm, PK2 65×225×89mm. If your installation is close to the cross-section limit, check the lug against the data sheet before ordering.
Which one for 50 and 70mm² cable
All four take 50mm² lugs without argument, because the terminals are bolted and any ring lug will go on. For 70mm² the PK0 has M8 bolts, and a 70mm² lug with an M8 hole is a stretch: from PK1 upwards the bolts are M10 or M12 and the joint is clean. On a 48V battery way with 70mm² cable, the natural choice is the PK1 250A.
How it is installed
- The base screws to the panel or mounting plate.
- Power cables land on the terminals with ring lugs, tightened to the stated torque.
- The fuse goes in and out with an NH handle, always with the system isolated.
- Keep the front of the base accessible: that is the whole advantage of NH over a bolt-down fuse, replacement on sight without disturbing the cables.
MEGA, Class T or NH: which fuse to choose
Three fuse families are actually used on the DC side of a 48V battery system, and they are interchangeable neither mechanically nor in performance.
