Earthing Cable 16 mm² Yellow-Green 100 m Coil
Flexible single-core cable of 16 mm² in yellow-green, supplied in a 100 metre coil, intended for making the earthing connections and equipotential bonding of a photovoltaic system. It is the protective conductor used to earth the module mounting structures, the aluminium rails, the electrical panels and the metal frameworks, and to connect the equipotential bonding node to the earth electrode.
The 16 mm² cross-section is the one typically required for the main earthing conductor and for the connections towards the earth electrode or the lightning protection system, where a larger cross-section is needed to withstand the thermal stresses of a fault. The conductor is flexible stranded copper, which allows tight bending radii and easy installation in trunking, conduits and panels; the yellow-green colouring along the whole length uniquely identifies the protective function according to the colour coding rules.
