Solar Cable 4 mm² Black 50 m Coil
Single-core solar cable of 4 mm² in black, supplied in a 50 metre coil, intended for wiring the direct current side of a photovoltaic system: connection between the modules, string extensions and the run from the array to the combiner box or the inverter.
This is a cable specifically designed for permanent outdoor exposure: the flexible tinned copper conductor resists oxidation over time, while the double insulation in halogen-free cross-linked polyolefin guarantees resistance to UV rays, ozone, moisture and wide temperature swings, with an expected life in the order of twenty-five years. Black is the colour typically used for the negative pole of the string, to be paired with the red version for the positive. The 50 metre coil is the right length for residential and small commercial systems; the ends must be terminated on site with crimp-on photovoltaic connectors.
