Solar Cable 4 mm² Red 50 m Coil
Single-core solar cable of 4 mm² in red, in a 50 metre coil, for wiring the direct current side of a photovoltaic system: connections between modules, string extensions and the run from the array to the combiner box or the inverter.
It is a cable designed to remain exposed outdoors for the whole life of the system: the flexible tinned copper conductor resists oxidation, the double insulation in halogen-free cross-linked polyolefin resists UV rays, ozone, moisture and the wide temperature swings of a roof. The red colour conventionally identifies the positive pole of the string, to be paired with the black version for the negative, so that polarity stays readable throughout the wiring. The ends must be terminated on site with crimp-on photovoltaic connectors.
