Solar Cable 6 mm² Black 50 m Coil
Single-core solar cable of 6 mm² in black, supplied in a 50 metre coil, for wiring the direct current side of a photovoltaic system. It is the cross-section chosen when the distance between the array and the inverter is significant or when the strings work at high currents, because it reduces the voltage drop and the losses along the line compared with the 4 mm² cross-section.
The construction is the one typical of photovoltaic cables: a flexible tinned copper conductor resistant to oxidation and double insulation in halogen-free cross-linked polyolefin, which guarantees resistance to UV rays, ozone, moisture and temperature swings for permanent outdoor exposure. Black conventionally identifies the negative pole of the string. The cable is supplied by the metre: the ends must be terminated on site with crimp-on photovoltaic connectors.
