Victron Energy DC-DC Battery Charger 12V-24V-15A - Non-isolated Direct Current Battery Charger

Victron dc-dc isolated VS non-isolated

The NON-isolated Victron is fine in most cases, i.e. when the earthing point is common. When there are multiple grounding points, dc-dc isolated is recommended.

Charging the service batteries with the engine alternator has always been an operation not without obstacles.

The standard alternator, in fact, is equipped with a cheap and unsophisticated voltage regulator, which simply regulates the alternator voltage to around 14.4 Volts and does nothing else other than that.

Bluetooth Smart enabled

You can use any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet or other device to monitor, change settings or update the charger when new features are available.

Fully programmable

The absorption and float voltages are programmable, as is the absorption time.

100% compatible with "Smart" alternators (Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles) and perfect for charging LiFePO4 lithium batteries

Battery charging algorithm (configurable), or constant voltage output.

Can also be configured as a constant voltage power supply (voltage stabilizer)

Smart Alternator Compatibility: Engine operation detection mechanism.

3-stage adaptive charging algorithm: Bulk, absorption and maintenance.

In lead-acid batteries it is important that during small discharges the absorption time is short, to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, however, the absorption time is automatically extended in order to fully charge the battery.

In lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed: by default 2 hours. Alternatively you can choose a fixed output voltage.

Remote on and off

It is possible to connect a remote on/off switch or a relay contact to a two-pole connector. Alternatively, the H (right) terminal of the two-pole connector can be turned to the positive battery terminal, or the L (left) terminal of the two-pole connector can be turned to the negative battery pole (or the chassis of a vehicle, for example) . All models are short circuit resistant and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current

An unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel.

Protected against high temperatures

The output current will decrease with high ambient temperature.

IP43 protection

if installed with screw terminals oriented downwards.

Screw terminals

No special tools are required for installation.

Input fuse (non-replaceable)

Also available for 24 Volt systems
