Drilling Template for Solar Carport Foundations
Auxiliary setting-out template for drilling the anchor rod holes in the foundations of the W-01 series solar carport. The carport rests on concrete footings in which the threaded rods that secure the posts are cast in or inserted: the relative position of these anchors must be accurate to the millimetre, because the base plates of the structure have to find that exact spacing on site. The template reproduces the drilling pattern precisely and makes it possible to mark it out or to hold the anchor rods in position during the pour.
It is a site tool, not a component of the finished structure: it is used during the preparation of the foundations, which according to the official manual are the installer's responsibility and must be made in concrete of minimum class C20/25 with four M20×1000 threaded rods of minimum strength class 8.8 for each support point. Using the template eliminates manual setting-out errors, the most frequent cause of delays during assembly: if the anchors do not match the base plates, the structure will not sit down and the pour has to be redone.
