Stock threshold on two product tanks, pressure of the supply water, operation and current draw of two pumps, frost protection temperature, flooding of the plant room, water consumption and SOS buttons on the bays. Battery-powered sensors, LoRaWAN radio transmission, data and alarms from the app.
What it does
- On each of the two product tanks an adhesive strip, applied on the outside at the height of the minimum stock, detects whether there is liquid behind the wall: when shampoo or wax drop below that point the reorder notification is sent. It is a threshold, not a measurement of the litres left.
- The pressure sensor on the supply pipe, upstream of the pumps, measures from 0 to 16 bar every 10 minutes: it reports drops in the water mains or in the booster set, clogged filters and lack of water before the pumps run dry.
- A clamp meter on one phase of each pump detects its current: you can see starts, running times and current draw outside the norm, with alarm thresholds. The kWh are an estimate calculated from the voltage and the cosφ that have been set.
- Two temperature and humidity sensors, one in the plant room and one next to the most exposed pipes, warn when the temperature drops towards zero, in time to switch on the frost protection or to drain the lines.
- The sensitive cable on the floor reports water in the plant room at any point along its 3 m; the pulse counter reads the water meter and records consumption by day and by period, useful also for discovering a leak while the plant is idle.
- The two SOS buttons on the bays send an immediate notification to the operator or to whoever is on call, not to the police.
- All the data can be consulted from a smartphone and from a PC with history, charts and notifications.

Milesight devices of the highest quality with the warranty of the manufacturer. Batteries included in the sensors; the current meters are powered from the line of the pump and the gateway is mains powered.
Available sizes
The size is chosen at the top, together with the version and the connectivity. The diagram, the photo and the table above show the «2 pumps, 2 bays» size; with the other sizes only the quantities of the devices listed below change, the rest of the kit is identical.
- 2 pumps, 2 bays: 2 level threshold sensors, 2 clamp current meters, 2 SOS buttons
- 4 pumps, 4 bays: 4 level threshold sensors, 4 clamp current meters, 4 SOS buttons
- 6 pumps, 6 bays: 4 level threshold sensors, 6 clamp current meters, 6 SOS buttons
In the complete kit the installation material linked to these devices (brackets, chambers, clips, cables, boxes) follows the size chosen. For a different size, write to us from the contacts section.
Available connectivity
- Customer network (Ethernet/Wi-Fi): 1 semi-industrial LoRaWAN gateway
- Built-in 4G: 1 semi-industrial LoRaWAN gateway with 4G. SIM not included
In the complete kit the material for the gateway (network cable, pole, PoE injector) changes accordingly. The SIM for the 4G versions is not included.
Choose the version

- For those who already have brackets, fittings and wiring material
- Everything in the basic version
- Fitting with pressure-gauge cock and sealing tape for the pressure sensor
- 20 m shielded signal cable to bring the pulse output of the meter to the pulse counter
- Stainless steel clamps to fix gateway and sensors to poles and pipes, 5 m Ethernet cable
- Wall plugs, screws, double-sided tape, cable ties, numbered labels and installation diagram
Before you order
Is an internet connection needed at the car wash?
It is needed at the point where the gateway is installed: a network socket or the Wi-Fi of the installation, for example that of the cameras or of the till. The sensors do not use Wi-Fi, they talk to the gateway by radio. If there is no line on the site, the version with a 4G gateway is available, which requires a data SIM (not included, any operator, less than 1 GB of traffic per month). It is chosen when ordering.
What is the radio coverage between the plant room and the bays?
For this gateway the manufacturer declares up to 2 km in an urban area and 15 km in open country. In a car wash the distances are a few tens of metres: what counts are the metal walls of the plant room and the structures of the bays, which is why the gateway goes high up and, if the room is made of sheet metal, on the outer wall. One gateway manages hundreds of devices.
Does the sensor on the tanks say how many litres are left?
No. It detects the presence of the liquid at the height at which the strip is glued and warns when the level drops below it: it is a reorder threshold. It works on fixed plastic tanks with a wall up to about 3 mm; it does not work on metal containers. If the product arrives in jerry cans that are replaced each time, the strip would have to be moved and calibrated again: in that case write to us from the contacts section for a different solution.
Does the pressure sensor go on the line of the lances?
No. The measuring range is 0-16 bar: it goes on the supply water pipe, upstream of the pumps, where it reports pressure drops, clogged filters and lack of water. The high-pressure side goes far beyond this value and would damage the sensor. The operation of the pumps is monitored with the current meters.
What do I see of the pumps?
The current drawn by each pump, measured on one phase: when it starts, how long it works, whether it draws more than normal or whether it stays still when it should be running. The meters are powered from the current of the pump, with a minimum of 3 A, and stay active about 12 hours after the last stop; to have them online at all times they are powered from USB-C at 5 V. They are not energy meters: the kWh are an estimate.
I have more pumps, more bays or more sites
The kit is configured on the installation: one meter per pump, one button per bay and one sensor per tank are added; gateway and platform stay the same. Among the options of the product you will find the 4 and 6 pump sizes; for gantries, several sites or different needs, write to us from the contacts section stating the number of pumps, bays and tanks: we will send you the composition and the quote of the adapted kit.
Battery life
The pressure, temperature, flooding and level threshold sensors have a replaceable lithium battery with a declared life of up to 10 years, with one reading every 10 minutes at 25 °C for those that read periodically. The pulse counter about 5 years, the SOS buttons more than 7. The current meters have no battery. The charge level is visible in the app.
Where is the data consulted and are there any fees?
On the app and on the portal of the manufacturer, from smartphone and PC, with charts, thresholds and notifications; no fee for basic use. Where there is a management system or the software of the washing plant, the gateway can also send the data to that system (MQTT or HTTP): the configuration is included.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The sensors keep measuring. The pressure sensor and the pulse counter store up to 1,000 readings and retransmit them when the connection comes back; the total of the litres is not lost. As long as the line is down, notifications, including those of the SOS buttons, are not sent. The kit only reads: the washing plant keeps working as always.
Is an electrician necessary? Do they withstand water and frost?
For the battery sensors, no. A plumber is needed for the pressure sensor, if there is no threaded port on the pipe, and an electrician to close the clamps in the panel of the pumps. Gateway IP65; temperature sensors, flood detector, pulse counter and transmitting bodies IP67. What has to be protected is the element of the pressure sensor (IP65, operation from -10 °C), the level strips and the SOS buttons (IP30); the current meters sit inside the panel.
What is not included
- Pumps, tanks, chemical products, water meter and electrical panel: these are the ones of your installation
