Felicity 9.09kWp solar kit with 14.3kWh storage – 8kW single-phase hybrid
A detached house on a single-phase meter using around 9,000 kWh a year has everything it needs here: eighteen 505W Trina modules on the roof, the 8kW Felicity hybrid inverter and a 14.3kWh floor battery on castors that two people can move.
The inverter takes 12kW of panels across two independent trackers, so an east roof and a west roof each do their own work and the production curve widens into the hours when the house is actually using power. With 14.3kWh stored, a normal family reaches the next morning without drawing from the grid, heat pump included.
When the grid drops, the inverter switches to the backup circuit in under ten milliseconds: the fridge never notices and the computer does not reboot. The combined AC/DC IP65 protection board is part of the kit.
